The school year often signals new beginnings for students and teachers alike and this year is no different, especially for those involved in Trinect. On August 26th, the halls of elementary schools in the Des Moines Public School System filled with the squeak on new shoes and the fresh ideas of our participants.
While last week marked the first time being in the classroom for the teachers and Fellows, the triads had come together in the month proceeding for formal training at Iowa State and final lesson planning right before the start of the classes. With school now in session, Trinect teachers and Fellows are getting to know the students and lesson plans will soon become action for the ten triads and the hundreds of students they are impacting.
